Not Your Average Pinterest Board- Early Childhood by The Specialists

Hi, friends! Today I thought I would share a fantastic resource with you all - the Early Childhood Pinterest board by The Specialists. I recently stumbled upon this board while browsing at Little Stories, one of my favorite speech and language websites. Kim Rowe, the author of Little Stories, created this special collaborative board where a variety of early childhood professionals including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, special educators, and psychologists could share posts designed to, in her words, “support parents and professionals in guiding children through a play-filled, learning-rich, and awesome early childhood.”

Why do I love this Board?

If you have been following our adventures, you have probably noticed that I love writing posts that incorporate developmental information into the descriptions of our activities. I enjoy sharing practical ways to stimulate development with parents and professionals, and I like to share background knowledge on why and how these activities work. The Early Childhood board is full of thoughtful posts written by knowledgeable professionals on topics ranging from communication skills and picky eating to early literacy and potty training. I felt like I hit the informational jackpot when I started reading through all the articles, and I pinned about half the board in one sitting. You may have noticed that if you already follow me on Pinterest. Ooops 😉
