Little Moments: Unplugged

Dear friends,

I missed our little weekend chat last week- thanks to an unfortunate laptop debacle, I was screen-free for the majority of it. And while I’m glad to be back in business (and grateful for my friend Kelly for coming to the rescue), it was a nice reminder that life unplugged ain’t half bad 😉

We’ve had lots of adventures this week trying to keep things exciting while Daddy is traveling, as much for me as for the twins. We’ve been spending the weekend catching up as a family, and this morning we went for an epic nature walk- a pair of toddlers, a pair of dogs, and a pair of optimistic parents. Lots of photos were snapped, lots of memories were made, but this has to be my most favorite of all- the trail we were following came to an abrupt end at a beautiful hidden stream. The water was wonderfully clear- we could see tiny minnows dancing along the bottom. But the most lovely part was watching the yellow leaves falling softly from the trees onto the surface of the water, showering us with golden autumn magic each time the wind blew.

It really was a lovely day.
