Felt Pumpkin Bunting

Hello again! Tonight I am sharing one of my favorite crafts from Mama Tex’s Little Pumpkin baby shower…Felt Pumpkin Bunting. This banner consists of only four flags because it was originally used to display some applique’d onesies. But once I hung it up, I decided it didn’t need any more. I love it the way it is!

Here is how the bunting was used at the shower.

Once I got home, I decided to hang it on the hutch in my breakfast nook.

It makes me happy every time I use my dishes 😉

To make the bunting, I simply cut four flags out of burlap, folded them over, and used my sewing machine to sew a zigzag stitch around the edges with turquoise thread. I left a little pocket at the top of each flag and threaded some jute twine through to hang them. I cut four pumpkins out of felt and also cut four additional middle pieces to layer on top for a three-dimensional effect. I sewed each of these down with turquoise thread, added some ric-rac, and that’s all, folks!
