A Sweet Spring Dress

Hi friends! If you’ve been following for awhile, you know that along with blogging and planning fun activities for my kids, I also like to sew. To tell you the truth, I got a little burned out after my Christmas pre-order and shelved my machine (for the most part) for a couple of months. However, all it took was an email from one of my favorite pattern makers, Little Lizard King, asking if I wanted to test a pattern for them before its official release to get me excited about sewing again. And let me tell you, I’m so glad I did!

The Roundabout, a smart-fit Ellie style, is an adorable, easy-to-sew dress or tunic with a sweet tuxedo-style bodice.

But I have to say, my favorite part of this dress is the back. The back panel contains elastic that allows it to stretch enough to go over my daughter’s head without having to add buttons or a zipper. Easy to sew and easy to fit- what’s not to love?

She definitely loves it!

This e-pattern was a treat to review. It was very well written and easy to follow. There were lots of great photos that made the directions even more clear. If you are looking for a sweet, twirly dress to sew for your little one this spring, try the Roundabout! I guarantee you’ll love it as much as we do!

Thank you, Erin! I get my fabrics from a local quilt shop. I need to start listing the names of the fabrics when I post on sewing projects- unfortunately I can’t remember these off the top of my head :( Glad to hear from another sewing speechie 😉
