Hi friends!
I’d like to interrupt our holiday play marathon to share a super fun product with you today…and who doesn’t appreciate a fun little giveaway right around the holiday season? Although I did receive free products in exchange for this review, I was not paid for this post and all opinions are my own.
So you know how much I adore art and creating with little ones, and how great I think it is for development in so many areas, including language. Well, recently I was contacted by EZPaint about doing a product review, and after sampling their products myself and submitting them to strenuous evaluation by my crack team of toddlers, the verdict is in- four thumbs up!
Typically, we stick to art on a grand scale. The bigger the canvas, the messier the project, the better. However, there are some occasions that call for a toned-down approach, even in crazy toddler land. Say you’d like to paint without having to hose down your children (and your pets, and yourself) afterwards in the backyard. Or maybe you’d like a substitute for the three broken crayons in the bottom of your ancient diaper bag (ahem) to entertain your children when they are waiting for their food at a restaurant. Or you just have a smaller, more detail-oriented project instead of a giant rainbow bridge or bubble-wrapped tree. Whatever the circumstance, the folks at EZPaint have you covered!
When we opened up our package, we were all enamored right away with the colorful paints in their little plastic pouches. Pictured above are two holiday-themed sets (Christmas and Hanukkah) with bright, sparkly colors.
Imagine our delight to find that the little bottles look just like miniature nail polishes! And to appeal to the 13 year-old in me, each package comes with cute little black and white EZCards that you can decorate with your little paints. It’s actually a great little stress-busting activity for Mommy 😉 That being said, these paint sets do appeal to a very wide age range, making them a really fun little gift. Stocking stuffers, anyone?
On this particular day we had some baking soda clay ornaments (find the basic recipe here- just leave out the glowing paint) that the kids had made that were dry and ready for some paint.
My twins (almost three) are at the perfect age for these- look how engrossed Will is in painting his gingerbread man! These little paints are great for fine motor and concentration as they dip the paints carefully in and out of the bottles. Also notice that I’m not jumping to correct how he is holding the little container of paint- the bottles are a no-spill design, so I don’t have to worry about accidental (or purposeful) dumping. Even though the twins are still on the young side, I feel comfortable letting them use the paints knowing that EZPaint is no-fume and non-toxic.
And besides all that- the colors are just beautiful! Here is our finished tray of ornaments (I even got in on the action with my dotted tree).
Here’s a close-up of one of the ornaments the kids painted- so pretty and shimmery! I love that EZPaints allowed me to let the twins create and have freedom of expression while still limiting some of the mess…I’m the first one to tell you I welcome messy art 95% of the time, but once in awhile it’s nice not to have to do much triage after an activity is over. Thank you, EZPaint, on so many levels! You can purchase EZPaints here, OR…

These make me excited as they are a completely different concept for children’s painting!
Awesome! Love the nail paint style bottles filled with non-toxic paint for my son. A great change of pace compared to the large paint brush/finger paint extravaganza.
I love the no-spill design!! Serevina would have a ball painting with these!!
I’m still cracking up over the “three broken crayons” (so you’ve seen my purse) and the post-crafting “triage”. Love these for the bright colors and fine-motor control aspects.
My almost 3 twins would love them too!!!!
My craft-loving daughter would love these!
Ohhhh, E and I would love to try these!!!
I love that these are something my toddler can use while I nurse my twins!
What a cute product. Would be excellent for decorating our Gingerbread Babies as gifts for my preschoolers’ parent before the holidays…
No spill is awesome! And I’m so impressed with how vibrant the colors are!
I’m afraid I’m not very good at dealing with huge art project messes, so this one looks wonderful. My son is often trying to get his hands on my nail polish bottles, so these would be so perfect for him! And we are totally going to make those ornaments…
These look like fun!
These sound like a great gift for my grandchildren. They love to do art projects and this would be such a wonderful idea to not be messy!
I totally thought these WERE nail polishes! What a fun way to package paint! My nieces would love these. I’m entering for them.
I am so excited that these don’t spill, what a great idea!
Since my 4 year has been spotted painting her dollhouse with nail polish, I know EZ paints would be right up her alley! Great review Stephanie!
How pretty those colors are!! I love that they adapted the paints for little fingers. My son and my preschool students would LOVE these!
I like the way this paint is packed - my daughter would love to paint with nail polish
This is so cool! My daughter would love this.
A nice way to change it up and encourage small scale painting.
EZ Paints would be just the thing to have for that special activity the keep students’ interest during the holiday frenzy! The small brushes and containers help them to develop their fine motor skills while providing an artistic medium that is not only cool, but could be used in many different ways. I would love to have EZ Paints in my preschool classroom!
The paint colors are so pretty and inviting! I love the easy to grasp brush handle (yet with a tiny brush that will let a child focus on adding details).
That is pretty cool that they look like nail polishes, since kids always seem to want to paint with nail polish. These look fun!
Jett would love these to paint our ornaments with. The no spill design is perfect!
I’m exacted about the no-spill design!
I love the no spill design and how this enhances fine motor skills via art.
I like the design of these paints , as well as their non- toxic nature. They appear to be of high quality as well. I can’t wait to try them out!
Non toxic and no spill! Both are necessities in my house! 😉
My son would loves these… He doesn’t always like getting messy.
I’ve just started a relationship with a mother of a two and a three year old and I’ve been reading this blog voraciously, gobbling up all the genius projects you have. I look forward to being at a stage in our relationship where I am able to do fun art projects like this with her and her kids. I love that you have the educational background and the practical experience of being a mother yourself. So many bloggers and supposed “experts” have one or the other but, in my opinion, you really need both to be able to rightly call yourself an expert in a given field. I definitely respect your views on the subject of child development.
Love the idea of some “tiny” art! Such a cute delivery and so easy for me..
I love that they are compact and would be perfect for trips. I also love that they are no-spill.
Love that they look like tiny nail polish bottles!
I love that they are small and compact for little hands and no-spill makes them EVEN better!
My daughter has just become interested in painting her fingernails, “all by herself”! Her favorite activity is painting and I think the no spill design is great! As a mom of an almost three year old myself and as an early childhood special education teacher, I love your blog! Thank you!
Looks like a really fun way to paint
So much fun! My girls would LOVE!
My daughter loves to paint. So i know she would llove ezpaints
Awesome! Love the nail paint style bottles filled with non-toxic paint for my son. A great change of pace compared to the large paint brush/finger paint extravaganza.
i love that they’re like fingernail paint bottles!
I am most excited about the fact that each paint pod comes with it’s own dedicated paintbrush and so my daughter doesn’t “double” dip” into another color!
These look so fun! My boys are really into fine motor activities and crafts. These paints combine both! Thanks!
