So if you have been following along with us lately, you know that we have gone a little play dough (and salt dough and baking soda dough, ect.) crazy. The twins are almost three, and up until recently, they’ve liked play dough, but right around Halloween, they started to LOOOVE play dough. I’m not sure why- is it a new developmental phase? Is it because they are getting more and more into pretend play and play dough is an excellent medium for their adventures? Whatever the reason, I’m glad to indulge them. I like that we can make all the different doughs at home together with non-toxic ingredients and that they can be tailored for different seasons and themes with a spices, colorings, and loose parts galore. I also like that if we want, we can tweak the recipe a bit and make doughs that harden into ornaments we can use as decorations or gifts.
