Thanksgiving is like a ninja this year. It’s sneaking up on me very stealthily, ready to throw a turkey at me when I least expect it! Last week’s Discover & Explore theme was Thanksgiving and there were lots of great ideas linked up- be sure to visit the original post for the full collection. This week I chose five fun Thanksgiving activities for toddlers to feature- enjoy!
I always love a good music craft, and this Corn Shaker from Sow Sprout Play is super fun!
These Watercolor Coffee Filter Turkey Cards from Play Dr. Hutch are also very fun- my little ones would love the process of creating the rainbow feathers!
This Bobbling Turkey Hat from How Wee Learn would provide us with many giggles and shrieks, I guarantee it
Considering my affinity for recycling our trash into toys for the kids (see Hungry Monster Color Sorters and Sparkly Fine Motor Spider), I couldn’t resist this Feed the Turkey game from Life With Moore Babies!
And of course, how could I not include our own two favorite turkey activities/crafts this season…
Sculpey Turkey Finger Puppets (made by me for their gobbling pleasure)
Fine Motor Turkey Beading Activity
More Thanksgiving Ideas from the Discover and Explore Co-hosts
Handmade Turkey Puzzle for Thanksgiving (KC Edventures)
Crafts for Kids: Beaded Napkin Rings (Buggy and Buddy)
Turkey Play Dough (Fantastic Fun and Learning)
Planning a Thanksgiving Feast (Teach Preschool)
Upcoming Discover & Explore Themes:
- Open Now: Cooking with Kids
- 11/20 Life Skills
- 11/27 Gifts
- 12/4 December Holidays
