Bunny Tails Color Matching

Hello, friends! Today I want to share a fun little color matching activity that I put together for my little ones this week. It was inspired by this fun color matching cars game I saw at Thrive 360 Living and I just love how it turned out!

To create the activity, I used solid colored card stock, sparkly pompoms in matching colors (thank you Craft Project Ideas.com), button magnets, an ancient bunny cookie cutter, round white reinforcement stickers, and a hot glue gun (not pictured).

To begin, I used hot glue to attach a magnet to the back of each pompom.

Next, I used the cookie cutter to trace bunny shapes on five different colors of cardstock. After cutting them out, I ran them through our little laminator (optional) and then placed a reinforcement sticker as a “target” to show the twins where to put the bunny tails.

Lastly, I stuck to bunnies to our new magnetic chalkboard wall (post coming soon) with tape and let the twins match away. They like to match the tails and name all the colors and then have the “Scary Fairy” (a.k.a. my hand) swoop down and mix up the tails again ;)
