Howdy, folks!
I know I implied that I wouldn’t be posting anything new until next week, but thanks to my brother’s amazing girlfriend, I have no choice but to interrupt your New Year’s preparations with this little gem of a recipe.
She brought these to our families’ Christmas shenanigans last week, and honestly, I am convinced that no one should be forced to live another day without the opportunity to taste these sugary delights.
Here is the recipe just as she sent it to me. I haven’t made them myself yet, but trust me, they are simply divine. I ate at least two. If by two, you mean five. Or even six.

Miss Hilary’s Pecan Bark
- 1.5 cups butter (salted)
- 1.5 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 cups pecans, quartered (small pieces)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 24 graham crackers
Preheat oven to 350°, line a 10″ x 15″ baking sheet with foil, and grease bottom of pan. Line the bottom of the pan with graham crackers and sprinkle pecans evenly over the crackers. In a large saucepan, melt your butter on the stove, add brown sugar and vanilla, and stir to mix completely. Bring the mixture to a boil, allow to boil for one minute, then remove from heat and pour over pecans.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes and then put the hot pan straight into the freezer for one hour. Remove from freezer and break into pieces; no need to refrigerate!
Ok. Now go try these right away. Your taste buds with thank you!
