You Learn Something New Every Day

One of the things I love most about the holiday season is decorating my home. Christmas just makes everything prettier! I really enjoy incorporating items that have special meaning to us into our decor when I can, like these blocks spelling “JOY” borrowed from a set that belonged to my husband as a child.

Another item I like to display that belonged to my husband’s family is this pewter nativity scene.

I love it because it is unique and my husband remembers playing with the characters when he was a little boy. I am such a sentimental dope sometimes!

So why is it that every time I look at this nativity scene I am transported back to my college years and start reminiscing about frat parties?

Could it be because of this guy?

I believe so. Personally, I think anyone who has ever been a fan of cheap rum and cokes might see a strong resemblance to…

…none other than good ole’ Captain Morgan himself.

I was not aware that he attended the birth of baby Jesus. But alas, folks, my Nativity does not lie.

Just goes to show, you learn something new every day!

Until Next Time,

Twodaloo!

I didn’t notice the resemblance until you pointed it out. Must be because I’ve never partook of that brand of rum :) . This post is too funny and I really love the name of your blog!
