Blue Jean Babies

Things have been pretty hectic around here in the sewing department! I’ve been working hard on a new little collection that I will be sharing soon, and in the process have been sewing lots of samples for my favorite models :) I’ve had a bee in my bonnet to work with denim for awhile now, and finished a romper for Little Man and a jumper for Toots a few nights ago. Although I have made a few tiny tweaks to the boy version since I made these, I thought they turned out so well that we needed a fun photo shoot to celebrate. So I took the twins to the Grapevine Botanical Gardens for some exploring and snapped some photos of them in action.

There are lots of stone pathways to follow with multiple places to view ponds full of giant koi. The kids were fascinated with them on this trip! They kept signing “Fish, fish, fish!”

Somehow I managed to convince Little Man that dropping his car in the water wasn’t the best idea.

Next, we headed over a bridge away from the water and into a wooded grove. I love the lighting in this part of the park and the thick bed of leaves- it makes an awesome background for photos.

The kiddos loved kicking the leaves around and “stirring” them with sticks.

At one point during our visit, Little Man decided he needed to climb a big tree. He would run up to it and yell “Up! Up! Up!” Sadly, I wasn’t able to help him out with this request. He had to settle for watching the squirrels climb.

Meanwhile, Toots was very interested in a hollow tree stump. Maybe she was looking for honey?

After a little more exploring, we were off to the park next door.

We had lots of fun on the swings!

I chose a couple of pictures for some photo editing practice. Here were my favorites:

And one more for the road.

Be on the lookout for more denim outfits soon! These turned out so cute, I have no choice but to make more!!

Until next time,

Twodaloo!
